Description
The lower end of Academy by Washington Street is a cluster. People park on both sides of the street so it is impossible for two lanes of traffic to pass. It's especially dangerous based on the number of school buses that must pass through there on the way to the Kindergarten Center. No parking signage will help this.

The town has a parking enforcement clerk who's sole responsibility is to enforce parking in our municipal lots and public ways. Steve does a very good job at doing that and has enforced the signs at the bottom of Academy.
Your concern was forwarded to the next traffic and safety meeting for consideration of placing more signage. Absent any signage, if a vehicle is legally parked on a public way and the person walks to the MBTA, we cannot write them a ticket..
In the future, if you see or are concerned with a parking violation, please call our dispatch center directly at 781-843-1212
